We are now back up and running! Following the flood on January 27th, caused by Storm Chandra, we have been working very hard behind the scenes to get the Beacon back open. We had weeks of driers and removing damaged parts of the building, before putting everything back together again. Repainting all the skirtings and walls, before laying new floors throughout the building. We finally were able to start reopening our doors to the public at the beginning of May. We still have ongoing works, however the majority of the Beacon is now open and functional.
Our fast recovery is largely thanks to the generous response from our local community in the early days following the flood, and we cannot thank you all enough.
