Exehalers Singing for Lung Health

Singing for Lung Health

A NEW Exeter singing group which aims to help improve lung health has launched here.

If you have COPD, asthma or a chronic lung condition and are over 18 then please ask your GP practice to refer you to this FREE 12 week singing group.

Dr Emma Hoerning, from the Wonford Green Surgery in Exeter, who is running the project, said: “Singing can not only improve your breathing but also your well-being and is fun! No prior singing experience is need, just a willingness to take part.”

The group will meet here for one hour every Monday, 10am – 11am, starting Sept 9th and ending Dec 9th, for 12 sessions with a two week break over half term.

The sessions will be run by Stephen Tanner, an experienced choirmaster and his assistants Hannah and Lauren. To register you interest please email: tina.voysey@nhs.net at Wonford Green Surgery. Please include your name, age, registered GP practice, home address and  phone number so that you can be contacted if you have a place.
