Struggling with digital technology? Need help making the most of a laptop, smartphone or tablet?
Exeter City Council have joined forces with digital experts Cosmic and community centres throughout the city to offer up a series of free Digital Drop-In Sessions.
The sessions will run here throughout the summer on Thursdays and are open to everyone living in Exeter.
The aim of the sessions is to help people in the city feel more confident about making the most of the online and digital world. For people of all ages and abilities, the internet and online resources are full of helpful, fun and informative opportunities.
A team of digital skills trainers from Cosmic will be on hand to help answers questions such as:
- Why isn’t my laptop/tablet working?
- What can my smartphone do for me?
- Which device is the best for me?
- Am I getting the best deal for my tech?
- How do I create an email account?
- Am I job searching the right way?
Cllr Amal Ghusain, Lead Councillor for Communities and Culture, said: “We live in a digital age and this is becoming increasingly the case as time goes by. So many of today’s opportunities are available online and in a digital format and more and more services are becoming digital.
“We realise, for many people who have not been brought up in a digital era, that getting to grips with the digital world can be daunting and that’s why, we have helped set up this programme of online learning.”
And on Thursdays, 2pm to 4:30pm on:
