Do you dread Monday mornings? If you’re feeling lonely, anxious or depressed and find the start of the week difficult, then try out our new support group.
We’re a small group of friendly people, who are slowly getting to know each other and enjoy spending time together. We meet in the centre’s main hall which is a beautifully light room with sofas, cushions and pot plants, helping create a very welcoming atmosphere.
When you walk in the door you’re likely to hear laughter, chatter and even a bit of banter! We start with a cuppa and a chat, then move on to a planned activity, such as mindfulness, a discussion, painting or games. Later our kitchen team are busy preparing lunch – you’re welcome to help or you can join others relaxing on our sofas and quietly chatting. Some people who enjoy knitting bring that along and the clicking of needles with friendly chat enhances our lovely, relaxed atmosphere.
The sessions run every Monday (except Bank Holidays) starting at 11am, with lunch and finishing around 2pm – £2 a session. After Easter we’re changing our session times from 10am til 12noon.
